Football Referee Kills Player After Match

An official is confronting murder allegations after football players purportedly constrained him to kill an individual from the restricting group in southern Malawi, police said Friday.

The official was administering a football coordinate between two neighborhood groups, Billiat FC and Chilengo FC, in the town of Thyolo on Wednesday, when Chilengo FC players declined to acknowledge the arbitrator's choice to negate an objective, region police representative Benjamin Foster told dpa.

In the resulting fight, the official fled to a close-by house, which the players lit to smoke him out, as indicated by Foster.

At the point when the official came up short on the consuming building, the players constrained him to smack a Billiat FC player over and over with a stick, the representative said.

The player later kicked the bucket of his wounds in healing center, included Foster.

"The ref turned himself over … He is confronting murder allegations," he said.
