''We have not endorsed President Buhari for second term'' APC representatives

The All Progressive Congress APC, has denied media reports that it has embraced President Buhari for a second term. There were reports online yesterday that at the National Executive Committee meeting which was gone to by President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and additionally APC state governors two days back, the gathering freely supported President Buhari for a second term in office.

Denying the report, the gathering representative, Bolaji Abdullahi said what the individuals from the board of trustees did was simply to pass a vote of certainty on President Buhari and this does not in any case indicate an underwriting for a second term in office.

There have been calls by APC governors for President Buhari to keep running for a second term in office. President Buhari has however requested more opportunity to consider it and in due time, he would address the country and settle on his choice known.
