Robbers attack Kano NNPC workers, cart away N16m

Suspected criminals yesterday assaulted a staff of the NNPC Mega filling station in Hotoro zone of Kano state, carting away N16 million.

As indicated by reports, the speculated criminals furnished with refined weapons,carried out their assault when the staff was passing on N26 million of every two sacks to the business bank in the region. One of the sacks contained N16 million while the other contained over N10million.

"All things considered, there was over N26 million in the two sacks when the occurrence happened. The associated criminals took away one with the sacks containing N16 million," a staff who argued secrecy said



It was accumulated that not long after the suspects grabbed the cash, they shot sporadically noticeable all around to frighten individuals and fled the scene.

Affirming the assault, the representative of the state police summon, SP Magaji Majiya, said three associated staff with the NNPC Mega station had been captured regarding the criminal and that the cash they were passing on were from their deals on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"As I am conversing with you now, clerk one, two and their supervisor have been captured regarding the burglary. Examination concerning the issue has started with a view to capturing the escaping suspects,'' he said.
